Thermal Process Review
Sometimes customers want the extra reassurance of having a 3rd party thermal process specialist look over your validation data.
Review of the thermal validation data involves the following:
1) Assessment of whether the heat process targeted is appropriate
2) Assessment of whether the experimental methods used to generate heat penetration data are appropriate.
3) Assessment of whether the experimental methods used for assessing the range of heat process applied within the cooker system are appropriate.
4) A check on calculations carried out to quantify microbial destruction.
The review is not a guarantee of process safety, it is a second opinion that the data presented should achieve the stated thermal process.
